Learning Cubed releases its first video to promote the Learning Cubed brand of educational smart phone apps.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ NOVEMBER 11, 2009
"We are standing on the edge of a new age of learning," says Learning Cubed's co-founder Roy Selig. "Mobile technology places three modes of learning in one handheld device. It enables numerous new ways to teach children."
To make this point the company released their first promotional video. The video elaborates two scenes and asks parents to choose which one they want. One depicts an overwhelmed child struggling with a poorly designed app. Another shows a happy child engaged in the act of learning on a smart app.
"As the video suggests it is an obvious choice. Well-crafted apps can impart valuable knowledge to children. Parents just have to choose wisely. We think choosing a Learning Cubed app, with our focus on engaging the whole child, is a decision parents will feel good about."
Learning Cubed released Word Cub, its first app for the iPhone and iPod touch®, in early November.
Word Cub was developed to make phonics fun for children and in the process build their reading skills. Using a digital version of the alphabet blocks we grew up with, children twist and twirl letters and words in a colorful 3D space.
Selig describes sales as promising for a first release. "Our job now is to inform folks about Word Cub and the Learning Cubed mission. When people hear about what we are doing they get really excited and want to know more."
